Because each strand is sewn into a weft, a few loose hairs during the first wash or installation are completely normal. After the initial shampoo, shedding should be minimal and should never result in a noticeable loss of density or volume.

To maximize the lifespan of your extensions, we recommend:

• Having your hair installed and colored by a licensed professional.

• Using a heat protectant before applying hot tools.

• Shampooing and conditioning your extensions weekly with moisturizing, sulfate-free products.

• Avoiding excessive heat and over-processing, which can weaken any human hair over time.

Q. Does Miink Brazilian Hair tangle?

When properly cared for, Miink Brazilian Hair remains soft, smooth, and tangle-free.

Like your natural hair, premium human hair extensions require regular cleansing and moisture to maintain their beauty. Dryness, excessive product buildup, heavy oils, holding sprays, chlorine, saltwater, or improper maintenance can cause any human hair extension to become difficult to manage over time.

To keep your Miink extensions looking and performing their best, we recommend:

• Shampooing and conditioning your hair at least once a week with moisturizing, sulfate-free products.

• Deep conditioning regularly to restore moisture, softness, and shine.

• Brushing your extensions daily, always starting at the ends and gently working your way up to the roots to prevent unnecessary tension and breakage.

• Sleeping with your hair protected in a satin bonnet or on a satin pillowcase to reduce friction, preserve moisture, and prevent tangling while you sleep.

• Never going to bed with wet or damp hair, as this can cause matting and tangling.

• Avoiding excessive product buildup from heavy oils, gels, and holding sprays.

Q. How much does each Miink bundle weigh?

Each Miink Brazilian Hair bundle weighs 90–100 grams (approximately 3.2–3.5 ounces), the industry standard for premium full-weight bundles.

 

Because our bundles are measured by weight rather than weft length, two bundles of the same length may have different track lengths. This is completely normal and simply reflects the natural variation of 100% single-donor human hair.

What matters most isn’t the length of the weft it’s the amount of hair you’re receiving.

Q. What color is Miink Brazilian Hair?

Miink Brazilian Hair is 100% raw, single-donor human hair, so every bundle retains the donor’s natural color. Most bundles range between a natural 1B and 2, though slight variations are normal.

Unlike factory-processed hair, no two bundles are guaranteed to be an identical shade. This natural variation is one of the characteristics that makes raw human hair authentic and unique.

Because our hair is completely unprocessed, it does not come in true black or jet black. If you prefer a darker shade, your extensions will need to be professionally customized after purchase using a semi-permanent or permanent hair color.

Every Miink bundle is intentionally left in its natural state, allowing your stylist the flexibility to create a custom color while preserving the integrity of the hair.

Please note that natural color variation is not considered a defect and is not eligible for return or exchange.

Q. Can Miink color my extensions before shipping?

At this time, Miink Brazilian Hair does not offer pre-coloring or customization services before shipment.

Every bundle is intentionally shipped in its natural, unprocessed state, giving you or your licensed hairstylist complete creative freedom to customize the color to your desired look. Whether you’re going darker, lighter, or creating a custom shade, our raw human hair is designed to be professionally colored while maintaining its beauty and integrity.

Because coloring is a chemical process, we strongly recommend having your extensions customized by a licensed hairstylist to achieve the best results while preserving the longevity of the hair.

We know many of our customers would love the convenience of receiving professionally customized hair, and we’re actively exploring the addition of luxury wig customization services in the future. Our goal is to offer professionally colored and customized wigs that meet the same uncompromising quality standards you’ve come to expect from Miink.

If you choose to color your extensions yourself, Miink Brazilian Hair is not responsible for damage caused by improper bleaching, coloring, or over-processing.

Q. How many bundles do I need?

The number of bundles you’ll need depends on your desired length, fullness, and overall look. At Miink, we always recommend purchasing enough hair to achieve a full, luxurious install rather than trying to stretch fewer bundles.

Our recommendations are:

12–14 inches: 2 bundles

16–20 inches: 3 bundles

22–28 inches: 4 bundles

30 inches and longer: 5 bundles

These recommendations also apply to installs with a lace closure or frontal.

If you prefer an extra full, high-density look, or have a larger head size, you may choose to purchase an additional bundle.

When in doubt, we always recommend purchasing more rather than less. Unused, unopened bundles can be returned in accordance with our return policy, but having too little hair at your appointment can compromise your final look.

Q. If I straighten my Miink Hair, will it return to its natural texture after washing?

It depends on the texture you choose.

Body Wave has a soft, loose wave pattern. Because of its naturally relaxed texture, repeated heat styling will gradually train the hair to remain straighter over time. Once straightened, it is not guaranteed to return to its original wave pattern after washing.

Deep Wave and Italian Curly are naturally curlier textures and will return to their natural pattern after being straightened and shampooed. However, frequent heat styling may gradually loosen the curl pattern over time, just as it would with your natural hair.

To preserve the original texture and maximize the lifespan of your extensions, we recommend enjoying your hair in its natural state before applying heat. When you’re ready for a new look, you can safely straighten or curl your extensions using a quality heat protectant and professional styling techniques.

The less heat you use, the longer your Miink Hair will maintain its original beauty, texture, and longevity.

Q. How long does Miink Brazilian Hair last?

With proper care and maintenance, Miink Brazilian Hair can typically be reused and reinstalled for 6 months to 1 year or more.

Because our hair is 100% raw, single-donor human hair, it’s designed to withstand multiple installs, professional coloring, heat styling, and everyday wear while maintaining its softness, strength, and beauty.

Many of our customers enjoy their Miink Hair far beyond the expected lifespan. In fact, we’ve had customers proudly share that they’re still wearing and reusing Miink bundles purchased 10 years ago. To maximize the life of your extensions, we recommend regular shampooing, deep conditioning, using a heat protectant, and having all chemical services performed by a licensed professional.

If your stylist trims the hair to create layers or customize your install, you may choose to add a new bundle at your next reinstall to restore your original fullness.

Q. How often should I wash my Miink Brazilian Hair?

Just like your natural hair, Miink Brazilian Hair should be cleansed regularly to maintain its softness, shine, and longevity.

We recommend shampooing and conditioning your extensions at least once a week using moisturizing, sulfate-free products. Regular cleansing removes product buildup, restores moisture, and keeps your extensions looking and performing their best.

To preserve the integrity of your Miink Hair, avoid shampoos containing tea tree or mint, as these ingredients can strip moisture and make the hair more prone to dryness and matting.

For best results, use products designed to moisturize, detangle, smooth, and protect the hair. One of my personal favorites is a shine shampoo, which helps enhance the hair’s natural luster and leaves it looking healthy, vibrant, and luxurious after every wash.

Healthy hair starts with a consistent care routine. The better you care for your Miink Hair, the longer it will maintain its softness, shine, and beauty.

 

Q. Can I blow-dry my Miink Brazilian Hair?

Yes. Miink Brazilian Hair can be safely blow-dried, straightened, curled, and heat styled just like your natural hair.

However, because it is 100% raw human hair, excessive heat can gradually reduce moisture and shorten the lifespan of your extensions. To preserve their softness, shine, and longevity, we recommend limiting unnecessary heat whenever possible.

For best results:

• Always apply a heat protectant before using any hot tools.

• Air dry or sit under an overhead dryer whenever possible.

• If blow-drying, use a paddle brush or wide-tooth comb and finish with the cool setting to help seal in moisture and enhance shine.

• For curly and wavy textures, air drying is the best way to preserve the hair’s natural curl pattern.

Like your natural hair, the less heat you use, the longer your Miink Hair will maintain its luxurious quality.

Q. Should I seal my wefts?

Sealing your wefts is completely optional and is not necessary for most customers.

Every Miink Brazilian Hair bundle features double-stitched wefts and undergoes a thorough quality inspection before it reaches you, resulting in minimal shedding when properly installed and maintained.

Some stylists choose to apply a weft sealant as an extra precaution, particularly for clients who plan to color their extensions, wear them for extended periods, or reinstall them multiple times. While this can provide additional reinforcement, it is a personal preference not a requirement.

With proper installation and care, your Miink wefts are designed to perform beautifully without the need for additional sealing.

Q. Do you offer returns or refunds?

Yes. We’re happy to accept eligible returns on unused, uninstalled Miink Hair with the original Miink seal completely intact.

If you decide you no longer need your order after it arrives, simply text clear photos of the unopened bundles to (313) 466-4656 for return approval. Once approved, you’ll have 7 days to return your order for a full refund, excluding shipping charges.

To ensure every customer receives brand-new, unworn hair, all returned items must be in their original condition and eligible for restocking.

Curly Texture Policy

Because curly and wavy textures are extremely delicate, refunds cannot be issued if the curls have been finger-combed, separated, brushed out, or otherwise manipulated, resulting in frizz or alteration of the natural curl pattern. This includes Tight Curly, Deep Wave, Body Wave, Italian Curly, and Burmese Curly textures.

At this time, Miink Brazilian Hair is shipping only and does not offer traditional local or in-person pickup.

To protect both our customers and our business, every online order is shipped with tracking and proof of delivery. Because our website automatically generates shipping labels and tracking numbers, same-day courier delivery cannot be selected or paid for through our website.

For local customers, same-day courier delivery may be available on a limited basis. This service must be arranged by texting (313) 466-4656 before placing your order so we can confirm that your desired items are currently in stock and eligible for same-day courier delivery.

If approved, payment for your order and the courier service must be submitted via Zelle or Apple Pay before your order is released to the courier.

Please note that same-day courier delivery is subject to inventory availability, scheduling, location, and courier availability and cannot be guaranteed.
